Out of the kindness of a friend, T. Muraoka’s A Syntax of Septuagint Greek (Amazon) arrived at my proverbial doorstep this past week. I’ve only just begun digging into it. It’s both as traditional and innovative as I imagined it would be. In terms of size, the volume has the same dimensions as Muraoka’s A Greek-English Lexicon of the Septuagint (Amazon) in all dimensions except depth. The Syntax is thicker than the Lexicon. As I have time to read through portions that most interest me (the introduction, the verb, the pronominal system), I will certainly be recording my thoughts here.
