Did you guys know what Microsoft’s http://home.live.com/ provides 25GB of free space?

Does anyone else provide that much space for free?

Hmm. They can offer me heaven and earth, but I don’t trust them to store my stuff — not after they cleaned out my ancient email account with no previous warning during an upgrade.

I was pretty excited until I realized there’s a size limit that’s extremely small. 10MB? That means you can’t use it for backup and personally I have other reason to use it.

I use Mozy, only 2GB but it syncs and there are no other limits.

    10MB?

It says “Upload size is limited to 50 MB per file.” The bigger hassle is that you can only do 5 files at a time – though if they’re all 50MB, then that’s understandable.

10MB was an estimate. But 50 is too small for backup, at least for mine.

Most of what I’m backing up consists of papers form college and various pdfs that I’ve collected over the years.
