I put these in a note on Facebook today and figured that I might as well copy to here:

1. I only like winter and snow if I’m living in a place where people actually know how to deal with it. Vancouver is not that place.

2. I had my first cup of coffee when I was four, didn’t have another cup until I was 14, but haven’t stopped since.

3. I’m a Myers-Briggs INTP, though I’m so close to F that I might as well be both. That means that I *think* I *feel* for people.

4. The majority of my rope climbing experience is indoors. With the exception of a few occasions, I’ve mainly done bouldering outside.

5. I’ve never broken a bone, though not for a lack of trying.

6. I was diagnosed with ADD when I was in college – note NOT AD *H* D. I’m as unhyperactive as they come – and no, I’m not on any drugs – just coffee.

7. I love art, especially painting and pencil drawing.

9. I absolutely love tortilla chips and salsa or guacamole (preferably both).

10. I’ve married the silliest person in the world, marrying her has made me sillier.

11. I plan on summitting a mountain this summer.

12. I practice speaking Hellenistic (Koine) Greek – or at least try to.

13. I read linguistic monographs in bed, out loud, to my wife as she falls asleep. I’ve done the same with commentaries.

14. The theater is my secret passion. I’ve performed at the largest and greatest theater festival in the world: Edinburgh, Scotland’s Fringe Festival. I also have a pile of 1st place medals for One Act Play competitions (and one 2nd place that I hide out of frustration – we lost because of politics, not performance).

15. Graham Greene’s The End of the Affair is one of the best books of the 20th century.

16. Languages fascinate me, especially those of Eastern & Southeastern Europe.

17. I’ve moved four times in the past 18 months and five times since I got married 2 and a half years ago.

18. I think the book of Ephesians has a message for the Church today and that Paul would be horrified by the way we treat fellow believers. The amount of division between individual Christians is terrible. But the lack of interest in reconciliation is even worse. Such a disinterest shows an ignorance of what the Gospel truly is.

19. There are five chairs, three stools, and one couch in my apartment, but only two people. I’m not entirely sure why. And sometimes I sit on the floor.

20. I’m a carrier of the gene that causes Cystic Fibrosis. I don’t have the disease though. Its recessive.

21. I collect old books, mainly ones about Greek. My oldest book is a Greek grammar from 1821. Books are both portals to knowledge of time capsules of the past. I also have a first edition printing of the Expositors Greek New Testament (5 vol.) at some point owned by Anglican Bishop Michael Bolton Furse of St. Alban’s Cathedral (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Albans_Abbey). There are two telegraphs within the pages from the 18th and 19th of July, 1941. He was Bishop at St. Albans from 1920-1941 and previously lived in South Africa. I hope to visit the Cathedral one day if I have a chance.

22. I’ve been employed both as a snowboarding instructor and a rock climbing instructor.

23. I regularly cook for my wife and I bake all of our bread.

24. I struggle to finish things that I start unless I’m forced to by a deadline (see both #3 & #6).
