Long Over Due

After many, many months waiting, a couple book reviews will finally be appearing on this blog.

You can expect to see my reviews of:

  1. Stephanie Bakker’s The Noun Phrase in Ancient Greek (Amsterdam Studies in Classical Philology)
  2. William Mounce’s Basics of Biblical Greek Grammar, 3rd edition
  3. Vern Poythress’ In the Beginning Was the Word: Language–A God-Centered Approach.

I cannot believe that its taken so long to get this finished, but it has. I do hope that it will be worth it.Incidentally, this is the order that I would rank these three books in quality–if that’s possible. All three are so incredibly different that attempting such a ranking is risky business.

Reviews of the other books I’ve recently received probably won’t appear until after Christmas. We’ll see.
