Somehow the schedule for 2023 has already filled up. I had several planned essays/articles/posts planned and partially started, before I realized how much I had already over committed elsewhere.
- Continuation of my series on grammatical gender from summer 2022 (see: Mussies (1971) on Greek gender).
- A new set of entries discussing participles into the “Brief guide” series, (the original being Aspect: A brief guide to aspect in Greek: Part I, The basics).
- A piece on participles and infinitive complement clauses that I discovered after noticing some bad linguistics in Porter (1989).
But right now, I have contracted chapter due in the spring that’s eating my time. I will, nevertheless, be doing some writing here in the meantime, but it will all be tied to that writing project on the history of linguistics in biblical studies. You can anticipate a first entry in mid-February. Once this writing project is complete, we will be returning to our regularly scheduled program.
