The status of the language of the New Testament has been a debated topic for centuries. We are well over-due for a linguistic defense of the “Holy Spirit Greek.”

In all seriousness, I did actually find a fascinating essay that makes a surprisingly compelling case for a special/unique dialect of Greek only documented in the writings of the New Testament authors: Yeltsa (2021) Dialectology and the language of the New Testament.
